Healthcare Data Analytics: Methods of Matching Scarce Resources with Uncertain Patient Demand. Introduction into Discrete Event Simulation Methodology (DES). Part 1: Dynamic Supply and Demand Balance and Capacity Problems

Discrete event simulation (DES) is the most powerful methodology used in process data analytics/Operation Research.

Process_Model simulation software will be used to illustrate simple simulation models and playing various scenarios to illustrate some basic management principles.

The focus of this webinar is dynamic supply & demand balance and capacity problems, as well as some patient flow problems. Multiple examples of inaccurate decisions based on the average past data are illustrated (the flaw of averages).

A side by side comparison with Queuing Analytics models presented in the previous webinar will be provided. It is therefore highly recommended to attend the previous webinar: Introduction into Queuing Analytics models.
